Let’s make unexpected memories

Family Holiday To Oman

Discover Oman’s treasures with BinMajid experts.

Overview

A family holiday to Oman offers endless excitement for children. They will be enchanted by tales of Arabian nights, the vast golden deserts, bustling souqs, dramatic mountain scenery, turtle watching, and relaxing beach time. With your own driver/guide, the whole family can relax and enjoy the experience.

Begin your adventure with two nights in Muscat. Explore the stunning Daymaniyat Islands, perfect for snorkeling and spotting dolphins. For a cultural experience, we can arrange a tour of Muscat, where you can stroll through exotic souqs, visit fish markets, and admire the grand mosque.

Next, head south where the kids will love diving into a wadi. Wadi Arbaeen, less crowded than the more popular wadis, is an excellent stop. On your way to Raz Al Jinz Beach, visit the breathtaking Fins and Tiwi Beaches. At Raz Al Jinz, venture out at night to witness turtles nesting.

ITINIRARY

Upon arrival in Muscat, you’ll be escorted to your hotel. If needed, we can provide a quotation for flights from the UK. Spend your first day at leisure, either relaxing by the pool or taking a dip in the sea.

Shangri-La Al Bandar

On your second day in Muscat, you can relax on the beach or embark on an adventure to the Daymaniyat Islands. A private boat will take you to these beautiful islands, where you can dive off and snorkel, encountering Murray eels, stingrays, and vibrant schools of fish. For a cultural experience, we can arrange a tour of Muscat’s mosques and souks.

Carapace Lodge

Your private driver/guide will take you on your adventure inland. Set off on the 3-hour drive south to Raz Al Jinz. You will have the chance to stop off at Wadi Arbeieen – one of the non-touristy wadis where your children can dive in and have a swim. You can also stop at the superb Fins and Tiwi Beaches. That night, set out and see the turtles laying their eggs on Raz Al Jinz Beach.

Desert Nights Camp

The journey to the vast deserts of Wahiba Sands takes about 2-3 hours by 4×4 off-road vehicle, allowing you to drive over the mighty dunes en route to your desert camp. That evening, enjoy a sunset camel ride.

Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort

Today, you will drive north to the Omani mountains. The direct drive takes about three hours, but we recommend stopping in Nizwa to explore the souk and tour the fort with your guide. Then, visit the picturesque, abandoned village of Birkat Al Mouz, which rises above lush irrigated fields against a backdrop of craggy mountains.

Today, embark on the scenic 90-minute ‘Three Village Walk,’ which takes you through beautiful Omani villages and to a Rose Distillery. Continue to the intriguing village of Wadi Bani Habib before returning to your hotel for some relaxing pool time.

W Muscat

Today, set off for Muscat via the off-road Wadi Bani Awf, a thrilling drive through dramatic landscapes that takes about 3-4 hours. If you prefer a quicker route, we can take the main road instead. Once in Muscat, enjoy two nights of relaxation with ample pool time.
