OMAN CULINARY & CULTURAL JOURNEY

DAY 1

Arrival in Muscat & Omani Welcome

• Arrival & hotel check-in: Upon arrival at Muscat International Airport, your Bin Majid representative will welcome you and transfer you privately to your hotel. You will then have time to check in, settle, and rest.

• 6:00 PM – Welcome gathering: You will meet your Bin Majid tour guide and Meshan culinary host at an authentic Omani restaurant. Together, they will introduce your journey, the destinations you will explore, and the culinary experiences awaiting you.

• Authentic Omani dinner: You will enjoy a selection of authentic Omani dishes while Meshan introduces their ingredients, regional origins, preparation methods, and importance in Omani hospitality. Meshan Restaurant buffet style

DAY 2

Muttrah Market, Cooking Class & Sunset in Muscat

• Breakfast: International buffet breakfast at the hotel.

• Morning – Muttrah cultural walk: Your Bin Majid guide will take you along Muttrah Corniche and through the atmospheric lanes of Muttrah Souq. You will discover frankincense, traditional spices, dates, textiles, silverware, and the character of everyday Omani market life.

• Noon – Authentic Omani lunch: Meshan will arrange an authentic Omani lunch. At restaurant with selected meals

• Return to hotel: Your private transfer will take you back to the hotel, where you can relax before the evening program.

• Early evening – Sunset tour: Your Bin Majid guide will take you on a relaxed sunset drive through scenic Muscat, including photo stops around the Royal Opera House, Shatti Al Qurum, and the Qurum waterfront.

• Early evening – Omani cooking class & Dinner: Meshan will welcome you to a hands-on cooking class featuring an Omani dish. Afterwards, you will enjoy the authentic Dinner prepared during the session. Amerat Kitchen set menu

DAY 3

Old Muscat, Grand Mosque & Coastal Experience

• Breakfast: International buffet breakfast at the hotel.

• Morning – Muscat highlights tour: Your Bin Majid guide will accompany you to Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, followed by the Royal Opera House. Please wear modest clothing for the mosque; female guests should also bring a headscarf.

• Old Muscat: You will continue to Al Alam Palace for an exterior photo stop, with views of Al Jalali and Al Mirani forts. Your guide will share the story of Muscat as a historic port and the ceremonial heart of the capital.

• Sea activity – Dolphin watching & snorkeling: You will enjoy a coastal boat trip from the marina featuring dolphin watching and snorkeling, subject to sea and weather conditions. Along the way, you can admire beautiful views of Muscat’s rugged coastline and natural bays.

• Noon – Lunch with an Omani family: Meshan will arrange a special lunch with an Omani family. During this warm home-hosted experience, you will learn about family dining traditions, serving etiquette, hospitality, and the cultural meaning of sharing a meal in Oman. Amerat Family set menu

DAY 4

Muscat to Sur via the Coastal Route

• Breakfast: International buffet breakfast at the hotel.

• Departure for Sur: You will travel with your Bin Majid guide in a comfortable private vehicle along Oman’s spectacular coastal road toward Sur.

• Bimmah Sinkhole: You will stop at the striking Bimmah Sinkhole and learn how this remarkable limestone formation became one of the best-known landmarks along the Muscat-Sur route.

• Coastal viewpoint: You will pause at a scenic viewpoint overlooking the Gulf of Oman, with time for photos while your guide introduces the fishing villages and dramatic coastline of Al Sharqiyah.

• Noon – Omani lunch: You will enjoy lunch at a selected local restaurant featuring Omani or coastal specialties, chosen by Meshan. At restaurant with selected meals

• Sur orientation tour: Upon arrival, your Bin Majid guide will introduce you to Sur through a visit to the traditional dhow-building yard, the waterfront, and Al Ayjah, including a photo stop near the lighthouse and suspension bridge.

• Hotel check-in: You will check in at your hotel or selected accommodation and have time to rest.

• Evening – Omani dinner: You will enjoy an Omani-style dinner arranged by Meshan, accompanied by an introduction to the dishes served. Live cook Dinner

DAY 5

Sur Heritage & Return to Muscat

• Breakfast: International buffet breakfast at the hotel.

• Morning – Sur heritage tour: Your Bin Majid guide will take you on a closer exploration of Sur, revealing its maritime heritage, traditional neighborhoods, local fishing culture, and panoramic coastal viewpoints.

• Wadi Shab – 3-hour hike: Your Bin Majid guide will take you to Wadi Shab for an approximately 3-hour hike through the dramatic canyon, passing rocky trails, date plantations, and natural pools. Please wear suitable walking shoes and bring swimwear if you wish to swim. The activity is subject to weather and water conditions.

• Noon – Omani lunch: You will enjoy an Omani lunch arranged by Meshan. Boxes meals from Meshan kitchen

• Return to Muscat: Your Bin Majid guide will accompany you back to Muscat, with comfort and photo stops along the way. Upon arrival, you will check in at your Muscat hotel.

• Evening: The evening is yours to enjoy at leisure. Your Bin Majid guide can recommend nearby cafés, shopping areas, or an optional evening walk according to your interests.

DAY 6

Sidab Village & Beach Dining

• Breakfast: International buffet breakfast at the hotel.

• Morning – Sidab cultural walk: Your Bin Majid guide will take you to Sidab, a traditional coastal neighborhood framed by mountains and the sea. During your guided walk, you will discover village life, fishing traditions, local architecture, and the close relationship between Muscat’s communities and the coast.

• Scenic stops: You will continue to selected nearby viewpoints and coastal photo stops, with time to enjoy the quieter side of Muscat.

• Noon – Lunch: You will enjoy lunch at a selected restaurant arranged by Meshan. At restaurant with selected meals

• Evening – Dinner by the beach: You will end the day with a relaxed beachside dinner arranged by Meshan, while Bin Majid takes care of your transfers and tour logistics. Live cook Dinner

DAY 7

Free Time & Departure

• Breakfast: International buffet breakfast at the hotel.

• Free time: You will have free time to rest, shop, or enjoy personal activities until your departure transfer.

• Airport transfer: Your Bin Majid representative will collect you from the hotel and provide a private transfer to Muscat International Airport according to your confirmed flight schedule.
