OMAN CULINARY & CULTURAL TOUR

DAY 1
Arrival in Muscat & Omani Welcome
• Arrival & hotel check-in: Upon arrival at Muscat International Airport, your Bin Majid representative will welcome you and transfer you privately to your hotel. You will then have time to check in, settle, and rest.
• 6:00 PM – Welcome gathering: You will meet your Bin Majid tour guide and Meshan culinary host at an authentic Omani restaurant. Together, they will introduce your journey, the destinations you will explore, and the culinary experiences awaiting you.
• Authentic Omani dinner: You will enjoy a selection of authentic Omani dishes while Meshan introduces their ingredients, regional origins, preparation methods, and importance in Omani hospitality. Meshan Restaurant buffet style

DAY 2
Muttrah Market, Cooking Class & Sunset in Muscat
• Breakfast: International buffet breakfast at the hotel.
• Morning – Muttrah cultural walk: Your Bin Majid guide will take you along Muttrah Corniche and through the atmospheric lanes of Muttrah Souq. You will discover frankincense, traditional spices, dates, textiles, silverware, and the character of everyday Omani market life.
• Fish market experience: You will visit the modern Muttrah Fish Market with your guide, learn about fish used in Omani cuisine, and select fresh fish for your cooking experience.
• Noon – Authentic Omani lunch: Meshan will arrange an authentic Omani lunch. At restaurant with selected meals
• Return to hotel: Your private transfer will take you back to the hotel, where you can relax before the evening program.
• Early evening – Omani cooking class & Dinner: Meshan will welcome you to a hands-on cooking class featuring an Omani dish. Afterwards, you will enjoy the authentic Dinner prepared during the session. Amerat Kitchen set menu

DAY 3
Old Muscat, Grand Mosque & Sea Experience
• Breakfast: International buffet breakfast at the hotel.
• Morning – Muscat highlights tour: Your Bin Majid guide will accompany you to Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, followed by the Royal Opera House. Please wear modest clothing for the mosque; female guests should also bring a headscarf.
• Old Muscat: You will continue to Al Alam Palace for an exterior photo stop, with views of Al Jalali and Al Mirani forts. Your guide will share the story of Muscat as a historic port and the ceremonial heart of the capital.
• Sea activity – Dolphin watching & snorkeling: You will enjoy a coastal boat trip from the marina featuring dolphin watching and snorkeling, subject to sea and weather conditions. Along the way, you can admire beautiful views of Muscat’s rugged coastline and natural bays.
• Noon – Lunch with an Omani family: Meshan will arrange a special lunch with an Omani family. During this warm home-hosted experience, you will learn about family dining traditions, serving etiquette, hospitality, and the cultural meaning of sharing a meal in Oman. Amerat Family set menu

DAY 4
Muscat to Nizwa via Samail
• Breakfast: International buffet breakfast at the hotel.
• Departure for Samail: You will travel with your Bin Majid guide through the Al Hajar foothills toward Samail, an oasis town known for its farms, date palms, aflaj irrigation channels, and agricultural traditions.
• Samail farm visit: You will explore a local farm and learn about seasonal produce, traditional cultivation, and the role of date palms and irrigation in Omani village life.
• Noon – Farm cooking experience: Meshan will host a hands-on cooking experience at the farm, followed by a freshly prepared Omani lunch in a relaxed rural setting. Samail Farm experience with lunch
• Nizwa Souq: Continue with your Bin Majid guide to historic Nizwa Souq. You will explore its date market, pottery, spices, handicrafts, and traditional silver khanjars while learning about Nizwa as an important trading center in the interior.
• Omani halwa experience: Subject to availability, Meshan will arrange a visit to observe how Omani halwa is prepared and taste this celebrated sweet served with coffee on special occasions.
• Hotel check-in: You will check in at Al Dar Inn in Nizwa and have time to rest.
• Omani dinner: You will enjoy an Omani-style dinner arranged by Meshan, accompanied by an introduction to the dishes served. Meshan buffet dinner.

DAY 5
Jabal Al Akhdar Experience & Return to Muscat
• Breakfast: International buffet breakfast at the hotel.
• Birkat Al Mouz: Your Bin Majid guide will take you through Birkat Al Mouz, where you will see traditional mud-brick houses, date plantations, and the UNESCO-listed falaj irrigation system before ascending the mountain by 4WD.
• Jabal Al Akhdar tour: Explore the mountain’s dramatic viewpoints, terraced farms, and traditional villages. Your guide will introduce the area’s seasonal fruits, roses, agricultural heritage, and distinctive mountain lifestyle.
• Noon – Outdoor Omani lunch: Meshan will arrange an authentic Omani lunch served outdoors beneath the pine trees, surrounded by fresh mountain air and beautiful panoramic views. This peaceful setting offers you a memorable taste of Omani cuisine and local hospitality. Live cook lunch outdoor
• Return to Muscat: Your Bin Majid guide will accompany you back to Muscat, with comfort and photo stops along the way. Upon arrival, you will check in at your Muscat hotel.
• Evening: The evening is yours to enjoy at leisure. Your Bin Majid guide can recommend nearby cafés, shopping areas, or an optional evening walk according to your interests.

DAY 6
Sidab Village & Beach Dining
• Breakfast: International buffet breakfast at the hotel.
• Morning – Sidab cultural walk: Your Bin Majid guide will take you to Sidab, a traditional coastal neighbourhood framed by mountains and the sea. During your guided walk, you will discover village life, fishing traditions, local architecture, and the close relationship between Muscat’s communities and the coast.
• Scenic stops: You will continue to selected nearby viewpoints and coastal photo stops, with time to enjoy the quieter side of Muscat.
• Noon – Lunch: You will enjoy lunch at a selected restaurant arranged by Meshan. At restaurant with selected meals
• Evening – Dinner by the beach: You will end the day with a relaxed beachside dinner arranged by Meshan, while Bin Majid takes care of your transfers and tour logistics. Live cook Dinner.

DAY 7
Free Time & Departure
• Breakfast: International buffet breakfast at the hotel.
• Free time: You will have free time to rest, shop, or enjoy personal activities until your departure transfer.
• Airport transfer: Your Bin Majid representative will collect you from the hotel and provide a private transfer to Muscat International Airport according to your confirmed flight schedule.
