Sunrise Hot Air Balloon Experience over Wahiba Sands

  • Bidiyah / Wahiba Sands
  • Early Morning

Overview

Discover Oman’s desert like never before with a sunrise hot air balloon flight over the Wahiba (Sharqiya) Sands, operated by Oman Balloons — the country’s trusted hot air balloon service provider. Float peacefully above endless golden dunes as the first light of day transforms the desert into a breathtaking natural masterpiece.

Experience Overview

Your adventure begins early in the morning, when the desert is calm and the air is still. Upon arrival at the launch site near Bidiyah, watch the balloon come to life as the expert crew prepares it for flight. Enjoy light morning refreshments while witnessing the magical inflation process — a memorable experience even before take-off.

Once airborne, the balloon gently ascends to approximately 600 meters (2,000 feet), offering spectacular panoramic views of the rolling dunes below. The silence, broken only by the occasional sound of the burner, creates a truly peaceful and immersive desert experience.
